Typically, browsers support a very limited number of fonts for use on websites:

However, Google offers a large repository of fonts that can be used on any website.  Check this out:
http://www.google.com/fonts/

If you want to use a font, simply click ‘quick use’ next to the font desired.  At that point, Google gives you a nice “how-to” on installing the font for use on your website.  In fact, three different methods of importing are offered:

  • HTML head
  • CSS import
  • Javascript

If you have been developing websites using ordinary fonts, Google’s effort in this space will be greatly appreciated.
